Maiden Grass

Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gracillimus’

  • Dramatic foliage color.
  • Characterized by arching blades and fluffy, showy seed heads.
  • Cultivars of varying height available; check plant label for details
  • Once established, needs occasional watering.

This is a gorgeous wide grass that produces very unique curled seed heads. Grow it where you’ll enjoy the effects of graceful foliage when green or golden at summer’s end. Perfect for back of the border or for contrast against patches of green groundcover and sheared lawn. Ideal for wild gardens and dry stream-beds, where it blends nicely with the soft hues of warm-colored stone. Enjoy these great tufts as they ripple and sway with the breezes of autumn. Moderate growing clumps reach 6 to 8 ft. tall, 3 to 5 ft. wide.
