Ilex cornuta ‘Dwarf Burford’

Dwarf Burford Holly will grow 4 to 6 feet in height with an equal spread. It has a compact, mounded habit and is very easy to care for. Unlike many other shrubs, you won’t need a pollenizer in order to enjoy the decorative advantages of the fall/winter fruit, but having one will certainly allow your Holly to bear heavier.
The Dwarf Burford Holly is great for low maintenance landscapes and adds a burst of rich green color all year around. The shrub features clusters of showy and fragrant white blooms in the springtime and large red berries during fall and winter. The berries can be an important food source for birds in late winter.
The Dwarf Burford plant has a slow growth rate that performs best in rich, well-drained, slightly acid soil, and does well in full sun to partial shade. Flowering and fruiting is reduced when planted in more shady locations. Dwarf Burford Holly is drought-tolerant and very low maintenance once established. Uses include foundation and hedge plantings.
